Easter Egg Guide Walkthrough: -- Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 3 -- Part 4 --

Hi guys,

Here is part 1 of 2 posts which show you 5 mini Der Eisendrache Secrets you may or may not know. Definitely worth a look. The toilet plunger / drain unblocker melee weapon was enough to get me interested, you will never need an emergency plumber again, enjoy.

Secret #1 - Plunger Melee Weapon

Yes you read the secret's title correctly, in Der Eisendrache, you can acquire a plunger as a melee weapon to knock the block off crazed zombies running around the map. I am not sure how effective this weapon would be in a real life zombie attack situation, but its good to know almost anything can be used as a weapon :). It does not do any extra damage when compared to your normal knife attack and is more there for a little bit of a giggle, making the level much more fun to play.

How do you get this awesome weapon I hear you ask? Lets get down to the nitty gritty and find out. There is a clock in this level within the UPPER COURTYARD AREA that is set to the time 1:15, or 115 for those following the story, and what you need to do is set the clock to 9:35, or 935 as in group 935). Now to change the time one the clock, you need to put your GRAVITY SPIKES down behind the clock, once you have broken it out. There will then be a lever that you have to hit and all you need to do is stop the clock at exactly 9:35.

Once you do that, you need to teleport back to  Dr Groth's office in the past and when you get there have a look around the room and you will find the PLUNGER has appeared. Pick it up and once you do, all players on the team will then have it as their melee weapon instead of the standard issue knife, SWEET!

Secret #2 - Panzer Claw......Captain Hook Arrrrr Me Matey!

In the mine shaft area of Der Eisendrache that links the Main Spawn Area to the Trophy room, there is a sneaky hidden PANZER CLAW that has somehow defied the laws of gravity and got stuck to the ceiling.....someone must have used NO NAILS as nothing is holding it up there. To bring it down, simply jump up and knife it or shoot it with your gun and it will fall down onto a box below.

When it has fallen down below, what you can use this claw for is killing zombies, or use it to kill a PANZER SOLDAT with a single blow. To do this, all you need to do is lure a PANZER SOLDAT down into the mine shaft and stand behind the claw looking up the mine shaft and shoot the claw when the Panzer Soldat arrives. What will happen is that the claw will go shooting away into the distance like a rocket and if a Panzer Soldat is in its way, will totally shell shock him and kill him in one blow.....nice little piece of extra weaponry on this map when you need it most.

Secret #3 - Storytime, The King and the Wolf

When you have completed the first part of the upgrade for the WOLF BOW, which is where you hit 4 pictures in the correct sequence, the pictures are always located in the same 4 areas, but the same picture will not always spawn in the same place each play through. The pictures however do tell a story that not everyone knows about as they are more interested in just finding the correct sequence to complete the WOLF BOW upgrade quest. Lets explain the pictures as they tell an interesting story of what happened in Der Eisendrache before you came here:

The first picture shows a King and his wolves. The wolves look up to him and the depicted King is loved by his wolves, which has allowed him to train them and fight for him as they go off to war to fight. Who is he fighting? Not zombies but.....the Apothicons.

The third picture confirms this as it shows a picture of the giant Tentacle Monster outside the Eisendrache castle. This is the same monster that appears at the very end of the "Shadows of Evil" Easter Egg.

In the fourth picture, we actually see that the General / King dies in the battle and the wolf in the first painting, is left with no master. Once you get to a certain point in the WOLF BOW UPGRADE QUEST, the wolf will come back to life as a spirit and go around the map digging up his masters remains. What you eventually do during the quest is take his masters remains and put them in their final resting place so the king can rest in piece.
