Secret Song Easter Egg for Rave In the Redwoods - Infinite Warfare

Easter Egg: Part 1 -- Part 2 -- Part 3 --

Secrets: Boat Propeller -- Charm Locations -- Crossbow -- Crossbow Upgrading --

Hey guys,

here is the guide on how to unlock the secret Easter Egg Song in Rave in the Redwoods Zombies for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. Everyone loves a sing song and thankfully you won't be hearing my singing in this level, as I don't want to give you a sore head or make you chuck your speakers out the window.....those things are expensive. I will leave the tunes and singing to the professionals.

This is a slightly more long winded version of activating a secret song rather than simply finding 3 bears scattered around the map, as it involves finding and shooting about 10 glowing spots that can only be seen in RAVE MODE VISION. You have to keep shooting the glowing blue dots until you see a symbol appear. That's when you know you have successfully activated that dot.

Before attempting this musical Easter Egg, we need to have the following completed:

  • Turn on the Power for this map, Let's get this party started!
  • Obtain Rave Pouch - Dropped by zombies randomly, interacting with fire initiates RAVE MODE

Now we have those two hurdles out of the way, lets rock n' roll and get these tunes pumping. You can use the Fairies to extend your RAVE MODE VISION each time if you are having trouble finding more pouches.

Here are all of the locations of the glowing spot locations:

Location 1 - Roof's the Limit

In the Spawn Room, look up from the fireplace and shoot the glowing spot until it turns into a rune. It’s located above the  chandelier.

Location 2 - Paint me a picture

In the main spawn cabin, head up the stairs from the fireplace and shoot the leaning painting sitting on the rather comfy looking sofa.

Location 3 - Pronely does it

This one might be hard to spot, its still upstairs in the main spawn cabin and is underneath the table that is sitting right beside the pool table. Go prone to get the spot into view, line up those sights and shoot the glowing spot on the underside of the table to move onto the next one.

Location 4 - Your mini barred from this club

Just across from this table beside the pool table, look across to the kitchen area beside it which has a mini bar style counter. Get an angle so you can see behind this counter and you will notice a sneaky wee glowing spot just on the back of it.

Location 5 - This roof has a point

Out on the balcony on the opposite side of the room from the mini bar in location 4, head out the balcony side which has the blue speakers in the corner on the right as you walk out the door, spin around and look up toward the roof. There you will see another glowing spot. Shoot it and keep her lit.

Location 6 - Fiddler on the roof....well..... blue glowy thing on the roof

Drop down from the balcony mentioned in location 5 band you will arrive beside  up and atoms and turn left to look down the front porch of the main spawn cabin. You will see at the end of the porch a tin roof of another building and a glowing spot on top of it. Just going to the right along the porch you can top up RAVE MODE VISION by talking to the fairies like a total nut job. Then shoot the blue glow and move on.

Location 7 - "Sir, someone at reception for you"

From location 6, enter the main spawn cabin again and you will be in the lobby area. Just under the receptions front desk, is another blue glow for you to shoot, underneath the ancient looking computer which would make a great door stop for any door you have trouble holding open....recycle my friends.

Location 8 - I'm boxed in

Go back upstairs and enter the second floor room with the Tuff Nuff machine. As you enter, look left to spot the glowing spot behind the cardboard boxes.

Location 9 - Its been shelved

Starting from the Tuff Nuff room’s balcony entrance, from the door, go prone near the cubbies on the right which look like they have been bought from IKEA....god I hate flat packed furniture. Near the floor, there’s a well-hidden glowing spot on the lowest shelf. Shoot it and move on.

Location 10 - This blue thing should be lockered up

The last glowing spot is in the locker corner opposite the Tuff Nuff machine, just to the left.

If you successfully activated all 10 runes, you’ll get a +1000XP pop-up letting you know your an awesome player, which I already knew :).

Now the funny thing is, you won't actually hear the music play in game straight away, it can only be heard in the RECREATIONAL AREA as it has some kick ass sound system setup there...probably Dolby 5.1....which will blow your mind when you hear it. It will also play when you are in the MENU for Rave in the Redwoods.

You will also get the achievement / trophy unlocking letting you show off to others that you have done this little Easter Egg. It is a bit more work than the other previous musical Easter Egg's in zombies, but the little achievement makes it all worthwhile....especially for achievement hunters.

Still unsure how to unlock or find any of these blue glowing orb locations? Then check out MrDalekJD's video below which is very easy to follow:

Upgrading the crossbow in Rave in the Redwoods - Infinite Warfare

Hey guys,

here is the guide on how to upgrade the crossbow named Vlad in Rave in the Redwoods Zombies for Infinite Warfare. As if a normal crossbow wasn't cool or deadly enough, we can go one better and can ramp it up a notch by adding things like acid rain to its attack. If the arrow doesn't kill that freaking zombie first time, the ensuing acid rain shower will.

Depending on what statues you collect and apply to the crossbow, it will give you a different upgraded effect. The animal statues and their corresponding affects on the crossbow are:

  • OWL - ACID RAIN
  • WOLF - BEN FRANKLIN
  • EAGLE - TRAP-O-MATIC
  • DEER - WHIRLWIND EF-5

When we have collected the smaller animal statues, we will be them down in front of their larger statues dotted around the map and getting zombie kills with the normal cross bow in front of them. This will charge them up with zombie souls. Then, depending on what statue you are working on, picking up the smaller statue again will automatically apply the upgrade to the crossbow you are carrying.

Lets get down to upgrading the crossbow, first we will need to have acquired the normal crossbow. If you are unsure how to do this, check out my CROSSBOW GUIDE. As Mario says "Lets a go!".

Step 1 - Animality!

To upgrade the crossbow, we will be looking for small animal statues throughout the map. These can be in many spawn places, around 9 or so that have been found so far. Through each play through, the same type of statue rarely appears in the same place. The same spawn location may have a totally different statue type on another play through.....so sue me.

When you see a statue, there will be a white glow around it. The statues will come in the form of little wooden and very cute carved animals.

Here is a list of the known locations on the map where statues may appear:

Animal Statue Spawn Locations:

  • Picnic Table in Camp Wolf, to the left of the fire pit and adjacent to the sign with the graffiti saying "Power" on it.

  • Trailer in the Recreational Area, near the Type-2, in the corner near the leather sofa....how the other half live eh?

  • Near climbing wall in the Recreational Area, jumping across the gap in the bridge at the assault course and looking down to the left when you get to the other side.

  • Out back on the Balcony bannister of the washroom cabin with the sinks, on the OWL side of Bear Lane Cabins.

  • Behind a canoe in the shadows behind it at the docks area

  • On an upturned table at the docks near Trail Blazers

  • Next to bench in between Mess Hall and OWL side of Bear Lane.

  • On wooden stairs next to Bang Bangs

  • On the obstacle course on the floor when heading up the steps and the platform just below where the rubber tyres are.

Step 2 - Speaker up I can't hear you!

Now that you have acquired all of the statues, go to the RECREATIONAL AREA and locate the large array of speakers in the middle. Here, you will place all 4 statues on top of these speakers. There will be 2 dark squares on top of each of the speakers where the statues will actually go.

Once all of the statues are placed.....you probably guessed already, we need to kill some zombies nearby to charge it with their aura so to speak. When you kill zombies, you will know you are killing them the right way, either with headshots, shooting their arms off first, legs, with explosives etc. as when you kill each zombie, you will notice a little RED flicker or light when they die. This means you are charging the statues to perfection.

If you have killed enough zombies and in the right away, you will be able to pick your statues back up. So check back after so many kills that you can pick them up again and your not wasting tons of ammo on them for no reasons. Pick up each of the Statues and we can move onto the next step.

Step 3 - Big brother, little brother

Now we have charged the smaller statues with souls, we can now run around the map and place the animal statues in front of their larger animal statues. Depending on which statue we place the smaller statue in front of, this will decide which upgrade the bow will take on.

Lets find out the locations of these larger statues to get you some more kick ass fire power into your crossbow:

Eagle Location

This is located facing the fire pit about a metre away from it, which is at the entrance to the ADVENTURE COURSE area, lit up very dimly by a small lantern.

Owl and Wolf Location

The Owl and Wolf statues are literally beside each other, either side of the BEAR LAKE CABINS "Owl" and "Wolf" directional signs.

Deer Location

The dear can be located just outside of the boat house near the docks area.

Simply place the statues down on which ever upgrade you like. They do not all need to be done, or in any particular, it is up to you to choose which kick ass upgrade you prefer. Now that you have the smaller statue placed in front of the bigger one, you want to start killing zombies directly in front of the smaller statue with the VLAD CROSSBOW.

When about 10 to 15 zombies have been killed, you will be able to pick up your mini statue again. As soon as you pick it up, it will automatically apply the upgrade to your crossbow. If you want to change crossbows or apply a different upgrade to the bow, simply return to the MAIN SPAWN CABIN and get a fresh crossbow and repeat the steps again of finding the larger animal statue you want the upgrade for, place the smaller statue down, and kill zombies with the normal VLAD crossbow, then pick up the mini statue again.....simples.

Here are the upgraded bows in action:

The Trap-O-Matic allows you to go akimbo with two crossbows and you fire up to 4 or 5 bolts onto the ground at various distances apart and lure a ton of zombies in before it goes off. What it does is creates a chained electricity bolt between all of the darts you have fired onto the ground and kills all the zombies in between all of the darts, very powerful and very cool no doubt.

The WHIRLWIND-EF 5 does exactly what it says on the tin and each bolt you fire from this crossbow, blows  the zombies away like leaves.....in a whirlwind. Yes it throws them aside like a wet lettuce in a tornado. Its quite good for getting rids of large hordes of zombies in lower rounds and great for clearing zombie restricted ground space.

The ACID RAIN looks amazing and better than any fire work show I ever been to. It fires a bolt into a zombie of the ground and then it just rains what looks like sparks you see coming off an angle grinder grinding a piece of metal. It looks so cool but is also very deadly, don't worry you cannot hurt yourself by walking into this acid bath. I don't think there is an umbrella invented to withstand this kind of rain trust me.

The last bow is the BEN FRANKLIN which delivers a lightning bolt into the area where the arrow is shot to. This can take out large numbers of zombies with the lightning strike.....whoever said lightning never strikes the same place twice was laying as I shot this arrow twice in the same spot and it did so....yeah take that science!

If still unsure about any of the bows, check out MrRoflWaffles video below:

Getting Vlad the Crossbow in Rave in the Redwoods Zombies- Infinite Warfare

Hey guys,

here is how to get the crossbow called "Vlad" in Rave in the Redwoods in Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare. I suppose they could have called it Vlad the Impaler as it does a great job of impaling zombies to the wall with its powerful arrows whizzing through the air decimating any zombies in its path.

It can be used as it is a normal crossbow, but it can also be upgraded, not using the Pack A Punch machine however just to be clear and I will have another link here when I post up the different upgrade flavours available of the crossbow. Oh please note, I am not talking about Strawberry or Chocolate flavour, this bow is non-edible....health and safety message of the day :).

Before we get started you need to have:

  • Built the boat propeller to get to the island
  • Turned the power on

So lets get down to it and find out how do we acquire this medieval marvel below.

Step 1 - Sausage Jokes are the Wurst!

First we need to take the boat ride over to the island and head into the cabin where Kevin Smith does his speeches up on the roof rafters and pick up some sausages that are in a bucket. They do look tasty and are making me hungry seeing them right now, but would I want to chow down on a 30 year old sausage....if it was the last sausages left on this zombie ridden infested planet.....possibly...yes.

Hold the USE button on the bucket to pick up the sausages and zip line back to the island. When we get back to the other side of the island, I know most signs say "Do not feed the animals" but this time we will, as we are going to feed these sausages to the DEER HEADS mounted on the walls in various locations around the cabins.

It reminds me of the hellhounds on the walls of Mob of the Dead, Der Eisendrache stag heads etc. on the walls, except this time we are not feeding them zombie souls as they apparently taste like......feet. Pressing left trigger, with  default controls set, will throw the sausages you picked up and what you need to do in order to feed a deer head is first enter rave mode, then chuck some sausages into its mouth.
The deer head will come flying off the wall and you just need to shoot it a sufficient number of times until its destroyed and it will drop a symbol for you to pickup holding the USE button. Each time you complete a deer head, a SLASHER will normally appear chasing you like a mad man cause you ruined his favourite wall ornament.

Step 2 - Hello my Deer's....... Oh deer deery me.

The locations of the Deer heads are:

The Mess Hall

You would think a deer in the mess hall would have had enough food living in here, if it eats anymore it will be as big as a house. This one is quite easy to find and is in the main mess hall entrance in the middle  on the wall.

Main Spawn Cabin

In the main spawn area up on the wall, next to a zombie spawn window location.

Cabin Area - 2nd cabin to the right of the  "CAMP OWL" sign

This one requires you to peer in the open cabin door and look into the dark corner of the room on the left. It can be hard to see but throw the sausages halfway up the wall on the left and it should kick start the deer's appetite.

Step 3 - Unchained Melody

Now that all 3 symbols have been collected from the deer heads, you will see that the photograph appears showing the crossbows in a cabinet. This is all good, so now head back to the main spawn cabin and head over to the cabinet that is in the photo in the main spawn cabin and hold the USE button on them to unlock the mystical chains that are stopping you from getting this awesome piece of firepower.

Its as easy as that to obtain the crossbow.

Easter Egg Guide for Rave in the Redwoods Zombies Part 2 - Infinite Warfare Guide

Back to Part 1 of Easter Egg Guide

Step 4 - Anyone got a light?

Now what you want to do is head over to the POWER ROOM in the map. Now, depending on how many players are in the current game you are in, you will notice on the walls of the power room these circular lights. As you walk past each one a white circle will appear indicating there is something inter-actable.

On SOLO mode all you need to do is press one of them to activate them, on co-op, each person must press a different light at the exact same time as the other(s). So if 4 players are playing, everyone must choose a light and press at the exact same time. When you get it right, all the lights will come on and you will hear an activation noise indicating you are successful.

Now you want to head over to the BOAT that you repaired and takes you across to the island each time. you will see Kevin Smith sitting on your boat looking a bit lost. You need to enter the boat in order to head over to the main BOSS FIGHT for this map. If you are playing on CO-OP MODE, everyone will need to hold the USE button on the boat and enter at exactly the same time.

Step 5 - Quit bossing me around Kevin!..... Mayday Mayday!

On your short journey across to the island on the rickety boat, who knew this particular voyage with a VIP on board would end in catastrophe.....there's not  much to  be worried about if the boat goes down the water is only about 5ft deep....its the killer creature from the black lagoon emerging from the water that's got me more vexed! Permission to scream......granted!

When the creature from the lake tosses the boat, you appear on the island in permanent rave mode with the boss towering above up on top of the hill yonder. You will enter permanent rave mode at the beginning of this fight, which comes in 4 parts, each to be repeated a total of 3 times. Loads of zombies will start spawning in from the flanks to start with.

You will also notice these blue glowing, multi-coloured objects appearing around the place. You need to kill zombies near these here to charge up the objects until it has gobbled up enough zombies souls its about to barf. As you kill zombies, the blue orbs start to rise. Once they have risen to their maximum height and are fully charged, they will glow like the North Star a very bright blue in the sky.

While in the process of charging these soul object, the SUPER SLASHER will appear who turns out to be Kevin Smith himself, will be trying to chop your head off. Save your ammo and just avoid him continuing to charge these soul objects, as any damage you deal to him here, will not actually hurt him.

The SUPER SLASHER has the following moves:

  • Ground Pound - Very powerful used to down players quickly
  • Directed Earthquake ground attack - shoots a wave along ground towards a single player

These are quite easy moves to avoid when you see them coming but things can get hectic especially in CO-OP with 4 players training zombies around and a huge Super Slasher beast chasing various people, sometimes you can get the odd knock from it. This is where having eyes on the back of your head would be a useful scenario :).

Once all of the soul objects have been fully charged, you will notice a blue energy beam shoot up into the air directed to a certain area on the island. It must have come from the heaven's above its a sign.....on how to kick the Super Slasher's ass and inflict damage onto him.

Step 6 - Step into the ring of fire....the ring of fire, Mr Slasher Please

Where the blue bolt has came from the sky and struck the ground, you will see a circle appear on the ground glowing blue. You need to lure the slasher into this circle and when you do, you will see part of his body is glowing. While he is trapped in the circle, shoot him with all you have got and concentrating all of your fire power on the Death Star's main reactor.....whoops wrong context, concentrate all fire power on the blue glowing part of his body.

When you have done it right you will see the blue circle turn to a fiery orange, you will then return to normal vision mode with him and you can now inflict him with damage. To inflict damage, you will notice various body parts starts to glow as he chases you around the island, you simply need to keep shooting these as much as you can in order to stop him in his tracks once and for all.

Once you have shot one area enough times, another part will start to glow and so on. Once you have shot several body parts enough times, hopefully above the belt each time as I wanted a clean fight, he will start to shrug his shoulders and stop in various places. You have obviously annoyed him, which is good, but don't tell him I said that.

He will then jump on top of the Cabin where Kevin Smith used to be, his flesh version, and starts dishing out some weird kinds of flaming magic / scorched earth on the island.

Step 7 - Magical Fire Blanket

When the boss has jumped on top of the cabin, the ground will start to burn baby burn! You need to locate quite quickly one of the protective GREEN CIRCLES dotted around this section and stand within them to watch the lovely toasty camp fire the boss is making of the entire island. Stepping into the fire and brimstone will instantly kill you so stay within the circle. I don't care if you need the outhouse in the recreational area, you step one mm outside that circle and you can kiss your bladder goodbye!

You are not safe in these circles either so don't break out the marshmallows and start roasting them on the flames, as he will be sending in his now scorched zombies, which are now skeletons. The boss clearly doesn't give a monkies about what happens to his minions as he has purposely burnt the skin off them to increase the scaring the crap factor out of you here.

Just keep a close eye 360 degrees around the circle you are in for skeletons running in and bashing you on the head. Its much easier if people can spread out over the circles to spread out the in flux of skeletons that appear making them easier to manage and cull. The skeletons are slightly more stronger than normal zombies so one hit from these will be the equivalent of about 2 or 3 hits from a zombie so be careful.

After about 20 - 30 seconds you will be put back into RAVE VISION and the whole process will start again.

If still unsure about any parts of the Easter Egg, check out MrDalekJD's YouTube video below which is easy to follow:
